Chemical Industry Overview

Chemical Industries are listed among Mihir's core application industries, alongside Fertilisers, Pharmaceuticals and Plastic Industries. These environments often involve highly corrosive process conditions — exactly the scenario our PM Series was purpose-built for.

Where customers would otherwise have to choose between an RCC cooling tower or one built with a stainless steel structure, the PM Series offers a third option: Pultruded FRP construction that resists a broad range of chemicals, with faster execution than RCC and lower cost than stainless steel.

What we did

For chemical and other highly corrosive applications, Mihir draws on our Pultruded FRP capability — manufactured entirely in-house, giving us complete control over the materials that go into each structural component.

Pultruded FRP Structural Components

FRP structural supports resist a broad range of corrosive chemicals while remaining lightweight, with long life and high strength — all profiles tested and certified by IIT Madras.

StrongLite Composite Material Performance

Per StrongLite's material comparison, Pultruded FRP rates Excellent for acidic resistance and coastal/outdoor exposure, and Good for alkaline resistance, steam and effluent water — outperforming Mild Steel across nearly every corrosion category tested.

With our own in-house pultrusion manufacturing facility — the only one of its kind among Indian cooling tower makers — Mihir offers complete control over design, manufacturing and quality control for chemical-industry installations.

We've also developed special solutions for handling water quality that is "cruelly unkind" for performance, including critical sea water applications — the same expertise that applies directly to demanding chemical process water conditions.
