Power of Execution
2,000 CMH cooling tower commissioned within 20 days
Power of Research
Speciality solution for critical sea water applications
From India’s first FRP cooling tower in 1976 to Pultruded FRP in 2008, every milestone has made cooling towers stronger, more efficient and longer lasting.
1976
India’s First FRP Cooling Tower Manufacturer
Mihir Engineers was the first company in India to develop and manufacture FRP cooling towers in place of conventional wooden towers. The same year, we gave India its first Round Bottle Shaped counterflow FRP cooling tower, the RB Series. The concept was soon followed by other cooling tower manufacturers across the country.
1992
Collaboration with GEA Polacel, The Netherlands
In pursuit of better and more efficient FRP cooling tower designs, Mihir Engineers collaborated with GEA Polacel of The Netherlands, a world leader in the field. The result was the rectangular shaped counterflow CM series, known as the Mihir Polacel FRP Cooling Tower.
2002
FRP and RCC Combined for Large Capacity
Keeping with our tradition of pioneering high performance cooling towers, we designed large capacity towers that combine FRP with RCC, especially for process cooling, distillery, sugar industry, power plants and HVAC. This design, the FRM Series, has since been installed in more than 1,000 towers.
2006
Large Capacity RCC Cooling Towers Introduced
Mihir introduced large capacity RCC cooling towers, offering great strength, durability and design flexibility. The RCM Series is hurricane and cyclone resistant by virtue of its mass and cools up to 4,000 m³/hr per cell.
2008
Pultruded FRP (PM Series) Launched
We introduced Pultruded FRP towers for better efficiency and durability, covering a wide range of water quality, from clean water to sea water. The structure is made at our own in-house pultrusion facility, the only one of its kind among Indian cooling tower makers, and the profiles are tested and certified by IIT Madras.
